Our Christmas Eve

We had such a great Christmas Eve. It was fun wearing our matching pajamas. We had a yummy dinner and a little program. Then we opened a family gift and played games. It has been fun carrying out old traditions and starting new ones. It was wonderful to spend this special night with my most favorite people in the world.

Angels

I wanted to post a few pictures from Madilyn's recent dance recital. She looked totally beautiful - just like an angel. She danced her little heart out. I was so proud of her - I couldn't watch her dance without crying. She has worked so hard and is really starting to become a talented little ballerina.

Getting It Done

This last week I made these letters to decorate our home for fall.

They turned out great and I love them. Yesterday I was looking at them again and Jared asked me "Why do you always smile when you look at the letters you made." I replied that I just loved how they look but also how they represent that I actually got something done. It seems like when you are a stay at home mom that the job never gets done. You finally fold the very last of the laundry just to find that there is another pair of crusty socks thrown into the hamper and then of course loads more to be done by the end of the day. Dishes - need I say more! Cleaning - I don't know how many times I have gotten the kitchen cleaned just in time to start prep for the next meal. So anyways I love my new letters and that I can look at them and say - I did it - they are done and now I can just enjoy!

Feelings

Yesterday Madilyn looked at Zain - he didn't want her to look at him (siblings!). He was upset and said to me "Mom, Madilyn hurt my feelings. I have 100 feelings and she hurt all of them. Now I don't have any left!"
